FORMAT: The "macaroni al ferretto" are a variety of home-made pasta typical of the Calabrian tradition. Were prepared manually by women in the festivities.
Were obtained by wrapping a thin sheet of wheat fresh pastas around a knitting needle, pressing and rolling it on a work surface to elongate the macaroni.
INGREDIENTS: durum wheat, water.
COOKING TIME: about 8 minutes.
